Had tuition early in the morning. Hahaz we spent 1/2 hr doing maths..then for the rest of the time my tutor and I were discussing about jcs and working life!! =) Well..she was the one who started it..she was telling me about her husband's firm and her job...and it all started with one sentence: "I think I want to be a full-time jc tutor" =D

She told me her first choice was hcjc..but it was too far from her home so she requested to MOE to transfer her to vj. Then she went on to analyse the learning environment in the 2 jcs..that hcjc practises independent learning..and vj is more of the spoon-feeding culture. I told her my father and sister(obviously) wanted me to go hcjc..but i preferred vj arh. Cos of the distance and the environment. Honestly speaking..I don't mind a school that spoon-feeds me..cos it doesn't mean I will not be motivated to work hard. I see it as a double benefit..where the schools give me the materials and I will hard..so hopefully my grades improve doubly! =P Better than me struggling to keep up with the smarty pants in hcjc right >.< Then we talked about jobs. As usual..she is always advising me to take double science and double maths! But I told her maybe I would venture in life sciences..then she changed her mind and encouraged me to take triple science & maths. That's what I'm considering too..and I told her my latest ambition is to be a product researcher! She went on and on to tell me about it..saying that the people nowadays work on a contract basis..and the pay...blah blah. Hahaz I love her man =) Though she talks alot..at least she gives me advice and clarifies my doubts!

My da gu ma called this afternoon. She's the "san gu liu po" of the foo family..cos anything that reaches her ears..it will be made public within the next hour. She called to ask me about my prelim results...arghz and my father and sister were in the living room too!! So naturally my father heard about it..and I actually planned to hide it from him till the day I get back my report book! =( Then later in the afternoon Meiyi messaged me on msn and said gu ma called her too..hahaz. Think Zerong suffered the same fate as us. The three poor things. Anyway!! I shall describe my father's reaction in detail.

father: so your school exam you got 7?

me: yah

father: what thing got 2?

me: my english (thought to myself..he's going to nag about it again)

father: then the rest all a1? me: no..phy and chem a2 father: huh then like that how to get 7 (obviously he doesn't know about the system)

me: no..is count L1R5 what..the best six

---coincidentally my mother returns home---

father: (in mandarin) eh..your daughter got 7pts only leh

mother: (in mandarin) huh what did you say

father: she only got 7pts for the prelim

---it's not that I minded the word "only" alot..but it really sounded insulting

mother: so that girl who won u got how much (referring to trix)

me: 6 lah. She so smart (feeling quite sad)

mother: then how many people in your class get 6?

me: quite alot (anticipating more insulting words)

father: then how come your english only 2?

me: but at least my higher chinese only a few more marks then get a1 already what

---pause---nobody comments cos they only pick on the bad things---

mother: read more magazines lah (miraculously it's not my father telling me this time)

father: how come your class do better than the other class

me: huh what are you saying my class is considered the best already what (he's still living in the
time where I was in 2b?!)

mother: so that girl got how much for chinese?

me: I don't know..but not so good (my mum's so sadistic)

mother: so who got first?

me: confirm her lah she topped many subjects

father: then you leh?

me: I really don't know they haven't even prepare the report book?!

mother: Why like that. Your english really no 1?

me: (can't stand it anymore) do you know 7 is quite good already.

father: aiyah never mind lah what is most impt is the jc and course she chooses

mother: so what jc u want to go

I chose not to answer or else the argument will continue..since my father wants me to go hcjc..my mother wants me to go rjc..but I want to go vjc. We would fight over this till sunrise man.
